Both Temecula and Fallbrook (the neighboring town) are full of cute food options. There are a few cute cafes we’d check out, and possibly eat dinner overlooking a grape vineyard or in a string-light covered garden patio.

Our Airbnb is a guest suite on a 2 acre property filled with lush gardens and plants. We could bring our yoga mats and do yoga on the grass, then relax outside in the sun. Furthermore, the decorations in our suite are adorable, and with a full kitchen, we can make pancakes in the morning.

While the hiking isn’t high in the mountains, there are plenty of cute trails for casual hiking in the Santa Margarita Preserve, including a trail that winds along the river.

The highlight of this trip would be the hot air balloons. Magical Adventure Balloon Rides offers shared basket experiences that would give us an hour-long ride in a giant balloon, flying over wineries, vineyards, and even mountains.

If we’re feeling adventurous, we could drive to Diamond Valley Lake to check out this large body of blue water near Temecula.
